The Utah Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Coalition is a cooperative effort sponsored and directed by the Utah Department of Transportation and Utah Department of Public Safety. In addition to locally focused TIM support from many county and city agencies and private sector partners, the Coalition also coordinates with the Federal Highway Administration to promote national best practices.
Our purpose is to provide effective traffic incident management (TIM) training and resources in support of statewide emergency response. Our mission is to improve communication, coordination and cooperation for all Utah first responders – police/law enforcement, fire, EMS, Departments of Transportation, public works, emergency dispatch, coroners/medical examiners, towing/recovery and many others.
